What are clean-energy jobs?

The Pew Charitable Trusts recently published a report detailing the nation’s clean-energy economy, providing the first-ever hard count across all 50 states of environmentally friendly jobs, businesses, and investments.

The Pew Charitable Trusts defines clean-energy jobs as those related to:

  • expanding clean energy production
  • increasing energy efficiency
  • reducing greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and pollution
  • conserving water and other natural resources
